We’ve got a magical night at Britzer Garten, an exhibition in the Meistersaal, Else’s 13th birthday and much more!

  • Niccolò Masini: 'Islands of Time'

  • Entry to the exhibition is free.

Islands of Time, an exhibition by Niccolò Masini opens on Thursday alongside an improvised performance in the Kuppelhalle by JakoJaco and Nicolas Bougaïeff. Tickets for the performance are already sold out but you can stop by opening night to view the art free of charge or until August 16th.

For the first time Hansa Studio's Meistersaal is turning into a temporary art exhibition space. OBSERVE! explores the works of four artists on perception and observation, in a unique setting that is usually not open to the public.

On Thursday, Spätschicht takes over Gropius Bau for their tenth edition. This one features AL.Berlin Drop by for an evening of programming including a screening, concerts, live radio by Refuge Worldwide and DJ sets.

  • Free admission

C/O is offering a free screening and party in their courtyard. Registration for the film is already full but you can still attend the party. Music by DJ Lacaty starts at 10pm and you can also visit the gallery until 1am free of charge.

Unkompress joins a number of listening bars around the world for an advance listening session of the forthcoming reissue of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s Beauty. Beauty was originall released in 1989 and combines influences from across cultures into a deeply personal and forward-looking work. There will also be a limited number of exclusive 2LP editions available to purchase on the night. Please respect the listening environment and keep conversations to a minimum.

Sonic sugar dealers The Chrandy Shop are back for a party at Bulbul also featuring Aria Santillana and Tiny Handbag (hi.fí & François Dulac).

Join in for a special low-cost event by party collectives, Bodies, Feieramt, and Lilith, to give back to the community. The DJ line-up features who never received their fees from previous Synoid events, alongside some favourites from each collective.

Jazz guitarist Nicolás Delgado has studied at Barcelona's Taller de Músics and performed alongside jazz greats like Pat Martino, Chick Corea, and John Scofiel. On Friday, he brings his jazz quartet to Neukölln's Berliner Berg brewery for a free/by donation show.


It's Else's 13th birthday and they're celebrating with a big 40-hour party. The DJ lineup features Len Faki, Nightmares on Wax, Young Marco, Matrixxman, Kameliia and more.

La Maison takes over Klunkerkranich on Sunday for a two-floor day party with vibes, coffee, pastries, drinks, music, and even an art market. It’s sure to be packed so advanced tickets are recommended.

Eat pizza and raise money for the Full Spoon Collective. They normally cook and distribute vegan food to people in need but this is your chance to try out their pizza, drink a spritz, listen to music and even participate in a live screen printing session. (Bring your own t-shirt!)

The Volksbühne created a temporary pool in front of their building and it’s free to attend with a time slot ticket! The pool is open for everyone but you should arrive on time and leave when your two hour booking slot is up to ensure lots of space for everyone.

Volkspark Friedrichshain hosts the 27th edition of the Queeres Festival (now The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Park Festival). Join in with about 6000 other guests for a day of diverse programming, music and community.

The Berlin Circus Festival starts today at Tempelhofer Feld, celebrating the world of contemporary circus. For 12 days, you can check out contemporary circus acts in both indoor and outdoor venues, alongside concerts, food and drink.

For almost the entire month of August, the courtyard of the Stasi Headquarters. Campus for Democracy transforms into an open-air cinema for films focusing on GDR history, the Stasi, resistance, and coming to terms with the past. All films are free of charge and many offer English subtitles. Check the schedule for more details.

For one night every summer, Britzer Garten transforms into a magical world of light installations, live music, and circus arts. More than 100 performers fill the paths, lawns, and lakeside stages, with everything from aerialists and fire artists to costumed walking acts.n The music covers everything from candlelit classical ensembles to indie-pop and a saxophone and DJ set by the rose garden. Your ticket also includes a hot air balloon ride.

  • Berlin Grand Prix

This Sunday, it’s once again time for Berlin’s Grand Prix. Head to the Rennbahn Hoppegarten for a full day of races and betting, alongside important guests like Kai Wegner.
