  • Time Travel Hear Today

  • When: Wed Jan 7 - Sat Jan 10

  • Where: Neue Nationalgalerie | Potsdamer Straße 50, 10785 Tiergarten | Map

  • Tickets: €15

The Neue Nationalgalerie hosts TIME TRAVEL HEAR TODAY, a four-night interactive music installation where Moor Mother collaborates with the boundary-pushing ensemble mosaik to create a living space for dialogue, experimentation, and collective listening. Set within the museum’s glass hall, the series blends experimental sound with classical traditions, weaving together hip-hop, jazz, improvisation, and contemporary composition. Each night unfolds differently, featuring performances, workshops, and participatory sessions that invite audiences into the creative process as music is tested, stretched, and reimagined in real time.

  • Spätschicht x Schwules Museum with Bishop Black, Hugo Tepest, Perel, River Roux, Ulrike Ottinger

  • When: Thursday, January 8, 19–22:00

  • Where: Gropius Bau | Niederkirchnerstraße 7, 10963 Mitte | Map

  • Free admission

Spätschicht x Schwules Museum returns to Gropius Bau this Thursday with a free, live programme curated in collaboration with Schwules Museum, bringing together performances, film, readings, and conversation by Bishop Black, Hugo Tepest, Perel, River Roux, and Ulrike Ottinger. Part of the monthly Spätschicht series, the evening moves fluidly between sound, image, and discourse, from Perel’s live performance and curated screenings with Arsenal Berlin to readings, conversations, and performative interventions throughout the night. Rooted in queer perspectives and collective exchange, the event reflects Schwules Museum’s ongoing commitment to LGBTQIA visibility in cultural institutions.

  • Dominik Lejman: ‘Phantome’

  • When: Opening: Friday, January 9, 19:00

  • Exhibition: Jan. 10–Feb. 15, 2026

  • Where: St. Matthäus-Kirche | Matthäikirchplatz, 10785 Berlin Tiergarten | Map

  • Free entry

Polish artist Dominik Lejman is on a restless ghost hunt, creating works that fuse video imagery with abstract painting. His art moves in constant tension: between revelation and repulsion, fall and ascent, Elysium and dungeon. Shown during Epiphanytide (the liturgical season of manifestation) Lejman’s practice reflects on the human condition with humor, doubt, and despair, raising poignant questions about presence, responsibility, and the absurdity of existence itself.

  • Between Bodies & Walls

  • When: Opening January 9 19-22:00

  • Exhibition through January 2026

  • Where: Pierhub | Pier 61|64, Mühlenstraße 63 10243 Friedrichshain | Map

  • Free entry

Between Bodies & Walls — Made in Berlin is a contemporary art exhibition bringing together painting, photography, and mixed media works by artists whose art features Berlin. Rather than delivering clear narratives, the exhibition invites visitors to notice their own positioning within their bodies, the room, and the city. At its core is an exploration of the relationship between bodies and walls, understood not only as physical structures but also as social, psychological, and mnemonic boundaries.
