We’ve got an XL Berlin Fashion Week edition plus 48 Hours Neukölln, the last weekend at Julia Stoschek Foundation, open day at Markthalle Neun, Dragonboat races & much more!

Exhibitions & Openings

For their tenth anniversary, The Feuerle House has rebranded itself as the Feuerle Puig House to reflect the name of both Désiré Feuerle and Sara Puig. But they're not stopping with just a new name. They're also bringing a new series of programming, starting with Asian Art Days which is showcasing film, music, dance, a sound bath, and even a techno party.

Neukölln lights up with art this weekend. The festival takes place across multiple venues and it's very much worth exploring. But they're kicking things off with an opening and party on Thursday at CANK, which should give you a taste of what to expect from the rest of the weekend.

Hamburger Bahnhof presents new works and site-specific installations by [materialistin]: a group of Leipzig-based female artists whose work and activities focus on the broader field of sculpture. The artists work with materials such as steel, stone, and concrete to address feminist, socio-political, and cultural issues.

  • LIVING INFRASTRUCTURE: 8 years of Floating University

The Floating University celebrates eight years of collective learning, experimentation and cohabitation in a rainwater basin. This exhibition follows the transformation of a technical rainwater infrastructure into an ongoing eco-social experiment in multi-species living. The exhibition will be on all summer but the opening on Thursday includes guided tours in German and English, shared food, audio walk and outdoor film screening.

Sadly, this is the Julia Stoschek Foundation’s last weekend in Berlin before they close for good. You can still drop by on Saturday or Sunday for the exhibition but my advice is pop by on Friday night for Mark Leckey’s talk/performance/video 'Batter My ❤️ 3-Personed G0D'.

Esther Schipper presents a group exhibition which brings together works by 邱建仁 Chiu Chien-Jen, Roberto De Pinto, 許家維 Hsu Chia-Wei, Beatrice Marchi, Valerio Nicolai, Federico Tosi, 蔡依庭 Tsai Yi-Ting and 曾建穎 Tseng Chien-Ying.⁠The name 'Forking Paths' was inspired by Jorge Luis Borges’ 1941 short story The Garden of Forking Paths. In this 1941 short story, time does not unfold in a linear path but instead it moves into multiple, simultaneous possibilities.

Sanctum of Sound landds at Malhalla this weekend for 51 hours of continuous ambient, downtempo and experimental atmospheres. It's a deep listening purposeful party experience, unfolding across multiple stages, from large to intimate. The works also include live performances and AV works in addition to DJ sets. Expect a sonic journey that weaves between experimental musicians, spanning ambient, drone, minimalism and exploratory electronic practices.

Cross arrives at Kreuzwerk on Friday, with the aim to create a new vibe by combining diverse communities of Berlin's music scene. This one is curated by Earwiggle, QS1 and Dollhaus IRL, with a DJ lineup featuring Sunil Sharpe, Aria Santillana, IMOGEN and more.

Established Barcelona party series Jackies brings the magic to Berlin on Saturday. Their debut at Else features a stacked line-up including Spencer Parker, DJ BORING, Ross From Friends and many more.

Celebrate one of Berlin’s most popular hofs. The Haus Schwarzenberg Hoffest offers a day diverse programming, including the "Trace" exhibition, DIY workshops, an animation workshop for children and live music by Red Money, Oum Shatt and Alpha Zen Taurï.

The Vogue Café opens its doors in Berlin for the first time. Just like previous editions in Milan, Paris, London, and New York, Rosenthaler Straße will transform into the perfect fashion week destination for fashionistas, fashion insiders, and creatives. Stop by in-between your other events for a coffee and ice cream. There's also workshops and panel discussions but they're already sold-out.

On the occasion of Fashion Week, H&M Garten Mitte presents 'The Curiosity Of What's In Between' Exhibition. The experience celebrates the intersection of fashion, heritage, and renewal and explores how existing garments can be reimagined for the future, highlighting the enduring value of craftsmanship, creativity, and conscious consumption.

Raum presents fashion events over four days at John Jahr Haus. At the time of writing, a few days were sold out but some were still available.

RARE Store and Collective presents an exhibition by Johanna Keimeyer for Berlin Fashion Week. FLUID STATES opens on July 2nd, featuring works from multiple series including Leave Your Body Like a Shell, Pool Around Me, Iconic Portraits and other selected projects. To accompany the works, there will also be a subtle ambient soundscape inspired by water, creating an atmosphere for conversation, reflection and discovery. Following their SS27 runway show at ICC Berlin, Unvain keeps things rolling at Phantom Bar with an official Fashion Week Aftershow Party. The night will focus on connecting with the community in an intimate format, and will also feature a scent installation courtesy of Neukölln's RYOKO.


SATURDAY

Berlin dark fashion label Obectra celebrates 10 years with a party at FluxBau. It's a ball/costume party so dress all the way up and get ready to party all night with DJs Ocean, DJ Handbag, Bossy Doll Bina and Juicy Boys. The first 50 people in the door get a special gift.

Vagabond celebrates the Berlin community with a free party at Komplex Berlin, featuring LOVEFOXY, Karina Schneider and a secret act.

Take a peek into the world's largest Helmut Lang archive, Endyma. The evening begins with a screening of “A Library of Fashion” which shows the growth of what began as a bedroom side-hustle and turned into an internationally recognized archive. The film offers an unfiltered look at the garments themselves, as well as the obsessive research behind them and the collective effort of the team that keeps the archive alive. It's followed by ENDYMA founder Michael Kardamakis and director Philippe Gnannt, as well as a showcase of archival garments from the documentary. Afterwards, stay and dance to a DJ set by R0 Collective co-founder and Berlin-based DJ RLK18.

The Chorus is a fashion theatre and pop-up by Aianadi. The evening begins with a fashion pop-up and continues with THE CHORUS: a live fashion theater performance exploring themes of identity, control, feminine consciousness, and liberation through fashion, movement, sound, and storytelling. The evening concludes with networking and an afterparty.

Berlin's largest dragon boat club welcomes hundreds of paddlers, visitors, and sports enthusiasts to Berlin Grünau this weekend. For each race, nine boats each with 20 paddlers will challenge each other in the 100m, 200m, 500m, or even 1000m races.
