Hey Berlin! Here’s what’s happening this week July 8-12

We’ve got the Classic Open Air at Gendarmenmarkt, a free Brutalismus 3000 show, the return of Dark Rooms Exhibition & much more!

The Dark Rooms Exhibition is back with a new presentation. Dark Rooms Veins takes place in an abandoned cinema, which has become a temporary showcase for some amazing art installations. We caught the sneak peek this week and it's a very cool experience!

Xberg bar favorite Mysliwska has been a meeting point for locals and creative people in Berin since the 1990s. They had a legendary art show at Bethanien in 2000. But now it's time for them to shine again! Drop by Schau Fenster on Friday to check out art mostly from people who've worked at the bar plus friends and regulars.

The series “Screening” hosts its third night at the Kantine. This edition features a text based video performance “The Niche” by Göksu Kunak, plus videos from Jan Soldat and Shira Orion.

Siilk Gallery and Stuck Magazine present the launch of their book Post Human. The exhibition features works by all the artists featured in the book, plus you can expect bites and DJs as well.

Fotografiska showcases the perfect soundtrack to go with Anton Corbijn’s works this Thursday. The Midnight Audience plays covers from many of the bands featured in the exhibition. And even better, there are no extra fees for the event, just pay the normal entrance fee.

Stop by UNTITLED on Friday for a night of abrasive rhythms and fragile atmospheres by Masha Dusapin. There will also be a dark pop and cinematic electronic live set by Jekka and a dreamlike post-club live set by XI-N and Alex See.

Catch Brutalismus 3000 for free this Friday at a secret location, as they record a new video plus a party with a few more featured artists.


Heiss rolls into RSO this weekend to celebrate their fourth anniversary, with a stacked DJ line-up featuring Amotik, Matrixxman, Karina Schneider & much more.

This year's Durchlüften festival opens at Humboldt Forum on Thursday. It's a free, open air music festival featuring live acts in the Schlüter Courtyard every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Over the course of the festival, a total of 24 live acts and 12 DJs will perform and each evening will feature two concerts and a DJ set. There will also be two live acoustic sets by Ecuadorian group Humazapas in the Mesoamerican Room of the Ethnological Collections on July 25.

Pierogi Social Club hosts a community picnic this Friday. This is their last event until September so be sure to snag your ticket if you've got pierogies (or Polish snacks in general) on your mind.

What could be more magical than a concert under the stars? This weekend, it’s your chance to make this a reality. From July 9-14, the Classic Open Air offers classical programming in the beautiful Gendarmenmarkt. Since this only happens once a year, you’d better snag your ticket now!
