In “Heimwee / Riḍu”, composers Jelmer de Haan and Bilawa Ade Respati, and lighting designer Nindya Nareswari have created a multimedia installation for a robotic orchestra, with surround sound and light. Taking inspiration from a historical narrative at the end of Dutch colonial rule during the Japanese occupation of Indonesia, the installation tells a story of longing for a "home that does not exist (anymore)".

A trio of new exhibitions begin at König Galerie on Thursday night. The latest exhibition from Jeppe Heinyou sees mirror balloon sculptures transformed into penguins, presented in the Nave. At the same time, Hugo Ruyantleave presents 'A Mess Age'—a series of large-scale bird paintings in the Vault—while Tue Greenforth presents his interdisciplinary 'Wunderkammr' in the Chapel.

As part of Project Space Festival, Nina Paszkowski presents her solo exhibition 'Furore' in the old Berlin bear pit. The exhibition explores the principle of display and staging—whether through live animals, ideologically charged urban identity, or contemporary art. It is meant to oscillate the viewer through fascination and unease.

Solaris Art Space presents 'Hyperbleed' as part of the Project Space Festival. This group exhibition features works by contemporary FLINTA artists working across sculpture, print, digital media, and video, taking the concept of Hyperstition (a term coined by CCRU, referring to fiction that becomes reality through being commonly believed in) as a starting point.

The Berlin Artists Art Market is back for its 11th edition. This one features eight rooms across five floors with works form 242 local artists and more than 3000 original pieces. If you're after some more affordable art, each fifth artwork has been priced under €500. The program is accompanied by DJs and musical performances.

Liz Allbee, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, and Kriton Beyer perform part of the Improvised & Experimental series at the Hošek Contemporary gallery in Berlin. The evening also features Takako Suzuki, Matt Davis and Lucio Capece.

Void Garden is a night of art and music at Studio1111. The exhibition and screening 'Adieu Tristesse' features Miron Zownir, Joseph Marr, Ignazio Caporrimo and Lars Vortmann. The evening also features performances from Audrey Metzloe, Coco Katsura and more, live acts such as Leo Poggoda and DJs Anita Drink, Beatris and more.

Candice Breitz and Peaches present ‘A Song for Esther’: an act of remembering Holocaust survivor Esther Bejarano. This conceptual concert asks 'What options for action do artists and musicians have in times of genocide and oppression?' and features an exceptional lineup of musicians paying tribute to the tireless anti-fascist activist and musician.

The Continuous Present is a quarterly Friday series at Tresor, devoted to artists working in the present. It takes its inspiration from Gertrude Stein’s idea of the “continuous present,” the night foregrounds sound as an unfolding process. This edition features Amoral, Kuss, and more downstairs with dérive, Objekt and more upstairs at Globus.

The much hyped Club AMT officially opens this weekend with a new monthly format: AMT Nacht. This series will take place every first Saturday of the month, across both floors. This lineup features Tigerhead, Glia, DJ Sun and more.

Dabbs Traxx returns to Renate on Saturday with Amy Dabbs, Anjawah and

Part-time Berlin-resident and internationally acclaimed artist Tricky returns to the stage with a new live show. The Berlin show is just one of three dates in Germany and promises a powerful, atmospheric experience. (Coincidentally, former Tricky collaborator Massive Attack is also playing Zitadelle Spandau on Sunday but that is sold out.)

A new concert series begins this Sunday in Körnerpark. "Dein Sommer im Park" offers concerts across various parks in Berlin (also in Park am Buschkrug in Britz, Ritterburgspielplatz and Zukunftskiez). The Körnerpark series features JEB-Band – Junges Ensemble Berlin Concert Orchestra Band on June 7, Giorgia Job.on June 14, Yamirah’s Solar Explorers on June 21, and A Panda Do Sol on June 28.

Celebrate 200 years of Museum Island this weekend with Inselfest. (The construction of the Alte Museum began 200 years ago!) To marke the occasion, there will be five years of celebratory programming, kicking off this weekend with exhibitions, events, open-air events, concerts and more. Many of the events are free, while others require a museum ticket, so check the website for more.

The Long Night of the Sciences opens up laboratories, archives, libraries, and lecture halls across Berlin and Potsdam that normally stay closed to the public. For one evening, around 1,500 events let people explore real research spaces, with more than 800 of them aimed at children and teenagers. This year the organizers frame science as a counterweight to fake news and conspiracy theories. Shuttle buses connect some of the participating institutions.
