Listening Experience: Jóhann Jóhannsson, Yair Elazar Glotman, Tilda Swinton: ‘Last and First Men’

This weekend Soundwalk Collective invites you for a sound experience: the complete, spatialized soundscape of Last and First Men, Jóhann Jóhannsson’s only directorial work and a seven-year meditation on memory, architecture, and failed utopias, created with Yair Elazar Glotman and voiced with Tilda Swinton’s narration.

Marina Zumi: 'Influx'

For one night only, Marina Zumi transforms Studio 1111 into a living, breathing landscape, where fabric, light, and movement intertwine with technology and touch. In collaboration with video mapper Multiscalar and light engineer Nazareno Amantek, Zumi stretches textiles into immersive spatial forms, tracing light like gestures of connection and healing. With curatorial support from Nils Petersen / Flipping the Coin, the evening then opens onto the dancefloor with sets by Alys Alys Alys, Chami, Tapefeed, and more, all paired with culinary creations by artist Gabriele Locorotondo.

Chris Noltekuhlmann Book Launch Party

LA photographer Chris Noltekuhlmann celebrates the release of his book After Glow, with a book launch and party. After Glow was created with over 150 portraits of people in Berlin’s club culture, including interviews and text by Cassidy George.

AM (Alte Meierei) Opening Party

There’s a new club arriving in Berlin this weekend, this time in the west. We all know that good club space is not easy to find these days, but AM Club has set up space in an old dairy. Come break in the new space with Cassy, Jana Falcon, Mister Willis, and more.

RBL Takeover

RBL returns to Orangerie for our annual gathering, where Kimey, Sharon Stoned, Mia Duni, Giacomo Valles, and YTU shape the night with deep grooves, low lights, and drifting textures. Expect warm tones, hazy corners, and the sense of being tucked somewhere just out of sight. Settle in and let the night unfold around you.

House of Lunacy Finale

Bamnat Kimichi Workshop

Kimchi curious? Take part in the workshop at Bamnat this Sunday to prepare two classic styles of kimchi (Baek-Kimchi-white, mild & vegan & Gimjang Kimchi-traditional winter kimchi for long fermentation). You'll also get a welcome snack, fresh kimchi tasting, and a wine pairing as well as learning the traditional recipes and bring home two jars of your own.

An Evening of Sublime Wine

Head to the gorgeous Ingwer café in Kreuzkölln this Sunday as Emily Harman (Sublime Wine, Vinalupa) hosts a tasting with artisanal winemakers Julie Bainbridge and Meli Ligas. Learn more about the craft and stories behind each bottle.

Coffee raves are becoming a thing, but this one in Wedding on Saturday offers a fresh perspective: a curated crowd, free coffee and breakfast, followed by a rave with music by Josef Schumacher.

Haderlump Store Opening

Beloved Berlin fashion house Haderlump celebrates the opening of their new store this Saturday. The shop will feature the ready-to-wear collection as well as the full Haderlump archive, as well as the ability to peek into the atelier behind the creations. Be there at 18:00 for a special surprise.

Sissy Smut returns to Volksbühne for its sixth edition. This time, join in for a night of queer cinema and smut soundtracked by live readings and performances by Liz Rosenfeld, Ben Miller, Mad Kate, and Bleach & The Bumholes, all presented by Matt Lambert.

Sauniphos

Let’s get sweaty this weekend at Sisyphos, but not in the usual way. This weekend, Sisy opens up a full sauna program with infusions, tubs, workshops, music, performances, massages, food and drinks. The event runs for 20 hours and allows re-entry with your ticket. There is also a FLINTA* sauna area, and families are welcome during the day.

Mulled Champagne

Many Berlin Christmas markets are now open (you can find out more in our guide right here). But one of the new and notable additions is the Turm-Schanke booth at Humboldt Forum, which is the first in Berlin to serve up mulled champagne. Cin cin!
