3hd Festival: ‘Heavy Rotation’

Where: Haus der Visionäre | Eichenstraße 4A, 12435 Alt-Treptow | Map
Admission: € 13 Tickets and info here.
3hd’s group exhibition Heavy Rotation at Haus der Visionäre unpacks meaning not just in words themselves but in the friction between them. Borrowing the broadcasting term for songs on repeat, the show explores how opposing forces generate coherence. “Heavy” suggests weight, intensity, even gloom; “Rotation” evokes motion, orbit, and repetition. Together, they form a paradox where gravity fuels circulation—revealing that stillness isn’t stasis, and motion doesn’t always mean change.

Listening Academy: 'Cacophony Stories'
When: Opening: Exhibition until October 4, 2025
Where: daadgalerie | Oranienstraße 161, 10969 Kreuzberg | Map
The Listening Academy is an independent research platform exploring listening as a philosophical, artistic, social, and embodied practice—spanning sound and sensory studies, ecological and performative work, community organizing, and experimental pedagogy. Through Cacophony Stories, daily guest-told stories unfold into experimental workshops of discussion, modeling, and listening, where each tale sparks new ones, weaving individual practices into the urgent “encounter-based collaborations” Tsing calls for today.
