Berlin New Media Week celebrates digital creativity, through electronic music and media art. Galleries, clubs and cultural spaces across the city open up from today until Sunday to showcase digital art, live audiovisual performance, interactive installations & much more.

It’s almost Berlin Art Week and that means it’s also time for Wilhelm Hallen studios to open their doors of Hallen #7. This is always one of my must-see art destinations every fall and one of the best places to see many local galleries showcasing their artists in a large warehouse space. It all kicks off with an opening party on Saturday, that will also feature DJs.

The Jewish Museum of Berlin opens an artistic path from the disturbing time of crisis to something better. Twelve artists take part in this study of opposites, where some draw inspiration from Jewish traditions and others on thinkers who championed a better society in dark times such as Ernst Bloch or Theodor W. Adorno.

Markus Draper's 'House of Glass' is a staged reading for two voices, music and images. It explores the relationship between architecture and power, as seen through the lens of the American architect Philip Johnson (1906–2005).

The Maxim Gorki Theater opens its new season on Friday with FUGE, a major site-specific installation and performance by conceptual artist Sarkis. The entire space will be transformed into a fluid installation that merges visual art, theater, sound, and collective presence.

Max Cooper takes over at Else on Friday, with a stacked line-up of support from Any Mello, Eduardo De La Calle & more plus two sets from Cooper himself (one outdoors & one indoors).

'The Continuous Present' is a quarterly Friday series at Tresor devoted to artists working in the now. The series takes its cue from Gertrude Stein’s idea of the “continuous present" and this edition features Dychromatic, Shaleen, RP Boo and more.

The beautiful church in the center of Schillerkiez opens up for an evening of deep listening and quiet immersion, with plenty of spots to sit or lie down and enjoy the experience. For this third edition, they welcome Berlin-based artist Sophie Schnell's project PYUR, who's work balances luminous synth textures, delicate vocal elements and expansive atmospheres. There will also be a live performances by Aa Sudd as well as residents APRS and nil.

Quantum listening is a deep listening practice that asks us to be our most present and expansive selves during the listening process. Sounding Kinship takes the concept of an ambient performance into the realm of listening meditations, where the boundaries between performer and listener begin to blur. This transformative audio experience is pioneered by composer Pauline Oliveros and extended through the ecological practices of kinship through Robin Wall Kimmerer, Ursula K LeGuinn, Audre Lorde, Sara Ahmed, and critical ecologist, Suzanne Pierre.

Neukölln's Tennis Bar closes out the summer with a block party on Saturday. The street festival kicks off at 1pm and features live performances and DJ sets from local artists bands and DJs.

Bite Lords take over at Blurred this Saturday with an exclusive menu of fine sandwiches and specialty cocktails.

Sway celebrates the launch of their new olive oil project. THe oils come from a farm in Catalunya, Spain and this launch features two mono-varietal oils: Arbosana and Hojiblanca. The evening will give you a chance to try the oil as well a a snack menu created just for the evening.

The Fantasy Filmfest is back for its 40th anniversary edition. The eight-day program at Zoo Palast centers on horror, fantasy, and thrillers. There are about 50 films total, including some European and world premieres. It all kicks off today, starting with Adrian Chiarella's Leviticus.
